It's not every day you celebrate your 10,000th crash. But that's just what Renault did earlier this month.
The French marque conducted its 10,000th crash test on November 18 at the Lardy Technical Center near Paris. Created in 1951, Lardy has seen Renault engineers test nearly 11,000 vehicles, make over 100,000 videos/films, take almost 500,000 photos and analyze more than one million measurements, according to the maker.
And they're just the 'real' crashes! More recently, like most manufacturers Renault has also been crashing cars virtually -- around 4500 virtual bingles each year!
