Lamborghini has posted two new images that preview a faster, more powerful Lamborghini Huracan Evo it plans to launch in 2019.
Appearing over the weekend on a Lamborghini smartphone app for its customers, the new pics of the updated Lamborghini Huracan Evo reveal the refreshed coupe and Spyder models will get a significant facelift.
Featuring redesigned front headlamps (that now includes daytime running lamps,) a new reshaped lower side air intake and a completely remodelled rear-end that incorporate new LED tail lamps, a new diffuser and a repositioned high-mounted rear exhaust, the Lamborghini Huracan Evo packs far more visual punch compared to the current model.
It's thought the facelift is largely the result of more wind tunnel testing that ensures both the Lamborghini Huracan Evo Coupe and Spyder will benefit from reduced drag and increased downforce at high speed.
Beneath the skin, the coupe and Spyder pack some of the Huracan Performante's trick active aerodynamics aids.
Under the rear boot lid, the Lamborghini's normally-aspirated 5.2-litre V10 is expected to get a small power bump.
Instead of the current LP610's 448kW of power and 560Nm of torque, expect the updated Lamborghini's V10 to match the 456kW and 580Nm produced by the recently updated Audi R8 Performance that shares the same engine.
That should enable the more powerful all-wheel drive Huracan to be capable of a sub-3.0 second dash to 100km/h.
The lower powered two-wheel drive LP580-2 is expected to receive a similar 8kW/20Nm increase in power and torque.
Like before, power will be channelled to the road via a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission that should offer even quicker up- and down-shifts.
As part of the mid-life revisions, engineers are thought to have retuned the Huracan suspension to improve both the ride and dynamics.
Inside, it's likely the Italian car-maker will update the Huracan's infotainment system.
The updated Huracan Evo is expected to make its debut at the Geneva motor show this March.
