Renault has extended its announcement about market and production plans for some of the striking 'ZE' (for zero-emission) concept EV lineup it had on show at Frankfurt in September.
Production will begin on a market-ready version of the mid-sized Fluence sedan in Bursa, Turkey, in 2011, with the two-seat Twizy city car (pictured) going to the company's Valladolid plant around the same time.
In 2012, the company will set to work on a volume selling supermini -- most likely a road-ready version of the four-seat, gullwing Zoe concept -- at its Flins plant outside Paris, while an electric Kangoo arrives alongside internal combustion versions at Maubeuge in 2012.
The first batch of Fluence EVs gives an early look into the motoring matrix of the future.
Launching in Israel and Denmark in the first half of 2011, a deal with charging infrastructure startup BetterPlace will see the Fluence EV go to market with three charging options: 220V standard, 400V rapid and a QuickDrop battery exchange.
