Renault has revealed the tiny Twingo Sport alongside the R28 F1 car which the company will campaign in Grand Prix races this year.
We presume the company was hoping that some of the lustre from the F1 team would rub off on the Twingo, but it needs no such lustre in our view.
The Twingo Sport is based on the existing 'cooking' model, but with revised exterior styling and a 1.6-litre engine developing 133bhp, which is approximately 100kW in metric. Styling cues were based on a Twingo concept introduced at the Paris Motor Show in 2006.
Renault hasn't disclosed too much else about the new car, other than the suspension having been re-tuned for the job, but Joe Public will undoubtedly learn more from a close encounter with the Twingo Sport at the Geneva Motor Show in March.
