The 2025 Genesis Electrified GV70 has been shown to the world some seven months after its internal combustion sibling and will arrive Down Under in the first half of next year.
Treated to the same exterior and interior upgrades as the petrols, the electric GV70 can now go further on a full charge thanks to an enlarged 84kWh battery pack (up from 77.4kWh), however an exact cruising range hasn’t been announced yet.
Odds are the increase will be in the vicinity of 45km as it was for the dual-motor Hyundai IONIQ 5 which inherited the same battery pack earlier this year, pointing to a maximum WLTP range of about 490km.
No other changes for the dual-motor powertrain have been confirmed at the time of writing which suggests the updated model will continue with the same 360kW/700Nm outputs as its predecessor – enough for 0-100km/h in 4.2 seconds.
Design changes mirror those of the petrol variants and extend to new bumpers, grille, headlights, alloy wheels and relocated indicators.
Inside the cabin you’ll find the Hyundai Group’s latest 27-inch panoramic cockpit arrangement, a new haptic climate control interface, extended ambient lighting and an updated steering wheel.
The once manual charging port cover is now powered and heated for convenience’s sake and better cold-weather access.
Full specification details and local pricing will be announced closer to the model’s local arrival next year, but for reference, the current Electrified GV70 starts from $125,858 plus on-road costs.
