The 2023 Bugatti Chiron Profilée has emerged and is claimed to be the last model equipped with the brand’s unique 8.0-litre quad-turbo W16.
This follows the announcement that the Chiron, Mistral, Bolide and Divo are all sold out.
The Chiron Profilée is closely related to the Bugatti Chiron Pur Sport but ditches its shouty big wing, aggressive body kit and race-bred wheels for a more restrained look.
Although apparently built as a direct response to customer demand, nobody has ordered the Chiron Profilée, so the single car offered for sale is a prototype that’s been adapted to production spec and homologated as a standalone model.
With Bugatti now turning its attention to an electrified powertrain, the new Chiron Profilée is expected to be the last-ever Chiron-based hypercar, as well yet another swansong for the W16.
Speaking of which, under the rear boot lid of the Chiron Profilée the W16 produces an epic 1103kW of power.
Combined with the Chiron Pur Sport’s 15 per cent shorter gear ratios, that translates into a car capable of 0-100km/h acceleration in just 2.3 seconds.
If that’s not impressive enough, 0-200km/h takes an even more incredible 5.5 seconds while top speed is 380km/h – a considerable bump up from the Chiron Pur Sport’s 349km/h on account of the lack of a rear wing.
Painted in a special Argent Atlantique light blue metallic, the lower half of the Bugatti’s body is exposed carbon-fibre.
Inside, there’s also a bespoke woven leather finish that involved Bugatti craftsmen using around 2.5km of leather strips.
Instead of quietly selling the one-off Bugatti Chiron Profilée to a loyal collector, the French car-maker says it will be auctioned off to the highest bidder at an event in Paris on February 1.
Before the sale, the Bugatti Chiron Profilée can be viewed at a special display at the Louvre museum.
